Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my crafty blog! I update (usually) on a regular basis and include some of my favorite ideas and stories from my daily life.

Hamster Tubes, Fish, and Lady Gaga Cookies.

Here's the hamster tube, fully finished. It took about an hour to make. Instead of the garter stitch (like I said I was going to do) , I used a rib pattern. It's about 6' around and 8' long.

Here are some gingerbread men/women I decorated. :P  (Right to left: Lady Gaga, Asian man, happy dude.) My Boyfriend told me to do the Asian one! I'm not racist! hahaha.

Over the weekend, I went to the Newport Aquarium with my boyfriend. It was fun, but really pricy ($22! for one ticket!). It isn't worth that much money because the place is so small, but we still had fun. :)

Scuba Santa and his elf assistant (who was fighting off the sharks with that candy cane pole).

Japanese Spider Crab. I wondered how they got them up to our atmosphere pressure level because these dudes live on the most bottom of the bottom of the sea.

A cute ray saying hello~

I had no idea what this fish was. Do any of you know?

Some cute Jellies~

This frog was adorable! He looks so squishy!

Some moon jellies.

Sea Turtle!

Japanese jellies.

An awkward fish with a snaggle tooth.

Cute little porcupine fish.

And this puffer fish had the tail of a mermaid! I've never seen one before!

Well I hope everyone has a good holiday! I'm off to the optometrist! ....gross.

Hamster sweater/tube? W.I.P.

Hey all! So I'm currently in the process of knitting a tube for this little guy. His name is Elephant (yes like in Little Bill) haha. Isn't he cute?! :D And I do love to torture the poor thing with all of the pink and green (my room's colors) so I'm making the tube pink too!
Well, I wasn't sure how to knit in the round using 4/2 double pointed needles. It seemed way more complicated than it should have been. So I went out and got a circular needle! It's a 4.00 mm needle and 29" long. I had no idea how to knit on this at first (I kept twisting the stitches), but I got a hold of it pretty quickly. I'm also using Red Heart worsted weight yarn in a light pink (The hot pink was way too wild looking). And I'm using garter stitch because it's the easiest and I didn't want to mess it up by tying something fancy. Plus I think Elephant is most likely going to shred it in a couple of days anyways. ;)

On a side note, FINALS ARE DONE!!!! YES!!!! I can finally relax and not have to worry about grades. At least for another month. :)
I hope you all are doing well in this chilly weather!

First post, first attempt at knitting!

So this is a picture of a scarf that was in progress at the time that I made for my boyfriend.  It was my first knitting creation :D  I have to say that I was pretty impressed with how it came out, all things considering.  It did have a few mistakes (mainly that one end was wider than the other- haha) but he likes is, so all is good...for now.

I'll be back later on because I have final exams going on this week.  Bad time to start a blog huh? heh..heh... じゃあ!〜
